The spokesperson for Prishtina Airport, Valentina Gara, announced that dozens of flights have been canceled due to fog, as visibility was reported to be below 50 meters.
Gara stated that 42 flights have been canceled since yesterday. “38 flights were canceled yesterday, some of which were diverted to neighboring airports. Today, 4 flights have been canceled so far. The visibility was below 50 meters, which made it impossible to carry out the flights,” she emphasized.
In contrast, the Minister of Infrastructure, Liburn Aliu, stated that 12 flights were canceled, explaining that this was due to pilots not being certified for the system that allows landings in foggy conditions.
