A powerful protest is taking place today in Prishtina, where thousands of citizens have gathered to express their deep dissatisfaction and anger toward what they describe as injustices by the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague against former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA/UÇK).

The protest began at 17:00, quickly filling the square with chants, national flags, and signs showing support for the former KLA figures currently facing charges in The Hague. Protesters loudly chanted “UÇK-UÇK”, creating an electrifying atmosphere of unity and national pride.

Participants from across Kosovo traveled to the capital to join this civic demonstration, emphasizing through placards and slogans that the KLA is an inseparable part of Kosovo’s history and freedom.

In addition to calls for justice, the protest was also filled with emotion — many held up photographs of former KLA commanders and those who fell during the war, turning the square into a symbolic space of memory, dignity, and collective resilience.

Among the slogans echoed through the square, one stood out:
“O Hashim, ti ku je – krejt Kosovën këtu e ke”
(“Hashim, where are you – all of Kosovo is here”).
