The Mayor of Prishtina, Përparim Rama, has signed a significant decision granting families of Kosovo’s fallen heroes the right to use municipal housing for a period of 99 years.
The decision builds upon a long-standing policy, which had previously provided these families with shorter-term housing rights. Rama emphasized that now is the time for these families to enjoy not only shelter but also lasting stability and security.
“This is not a matter of generosity, but an institutional step toward justice and collective memory,” said Rama. He added that Prishtina owes the families of the martyrs not only moral honor but also dignified and sustainable support.
The mayor expressed deep gratitude for the sacrifice of these families, stating that they gave the most precious thing for the freedom the country enjoys today.
