Three vehicles are suspected to have caught fire in a parking lot in the “Bregu i Diellit” neighborhood of Pristina tonight.

There were firefighters at the scene actively working to extinguish the blaze. Other cars were visible nearby the affected vehicles.

Samed Shkodra, the Commander of Firefighters for the capital, who was not on site, said that he spoke with the team leader who confirmed three cars had burned in a parking lot near the Shopping Center, specifically near where former President Hashim Thaçi resided.

“It’s about three cars that caught fire in a parking lot near the Shopping Center, more precisely near where the former president [Hashim Thaçi] lived. Now, we dare not speculate on the cause; it’s up to the investigative bodies to make those assessments, but most likely, it’s suspected that two other cars caught fire from one vehicle. There are no injuries, we can confirm that, and the fire has been extinguished,” Shkodra stated.

Shkodra mentioned suspicions that there might have been a fuel leak in one of the car’s tanks. Flora Ahmeti, the spokesperson for the Pristina Regional Police, still did not give a statement regarding the incident.
