The Kosovo Police have announced temporary traffic disruptions across several roads in Pristina on June 2 and 3, as the capital hosts the third edition of the International Forum for Women, Peace, and Security.
In an official statement, authorities confirmed the road closures will occur in short intervals to accommodate the movement and security of high-profile guests and delegations attending the event, which is being held under the patronage of President Vjosa Osmani.
“The Kosovo Police will ensure public order, safety, and proper traffic management throughout the duration of the forum, especially near venues and during the transit of official delegations,” the statement reads.
To facilitate smooth transit and avoid congestion, alternative routes will be suggested, and some road segments near key institutions will be temporarily closed. The police have asked for the full cooperation and understanding of citizens and all road users during the forum.
Authorities emphasized that the disruptions are necessary for the success and security of an event that draws over 150 speakers from more than 45 countries, gathering in Pristina to discuss global issues of peace, security, and women’s leadership.
