Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has published his response to President Donald Trump following the invitation he received to become a member of the Peace Board.

Rama emphasized that this engagement will soon be submitted to the Albanian Parliament for approval.

“At a time when conflict and division too often dominate the international landscape,” Prime Minister Rama wrote, “peace must be actively shaped, not passively awaited or endlessly debated in political forums, while innocent lives across the globe are needlessly lost every minute.”

In his response, Prime Minister Rama further stressed that “the Republic of Albania has long been a steadfast ally of the United States of America, bound together by shared values, mutual respect, and a common commitment to freedom, democracy, and international security.”

Rama stated that the Albanian people will always remember and deeply appreciate the principled and decisive role of the United States of America in establishing peace and stability in the region during critical moments of their shared history.

“In this enduring spirit of partnership,” Prime Minister Rama added, “I wish to reaffirm that the Republic of Albania stands firmly alongside the United States of America in all efforts aimed at promoting peace, security, and constructive global engagement.”
