The Basic Court in Prizren has ordered one-month pretrial detention for 23 suspects in connection with the manipulation of votes during the December 28 elections.
The defendants are primarily suspected of falsifying election results, while some also face charges related to threats and bribery.
The decision follows a large-scale police operation in Prizren, during which 109 individuals were detained over alleged irregularities at the Municipal Counting Center between December 29, 2025, and January 2, 2026.
The detention measure will remain in effect until February 23, 2026, as investigations continue.
