Large gatherings of Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) supporters took place across Serbia on Sunday evening, organized in response to ongoing student and civic protests and blockades.

Incident in Novi Sad

During a rally in Novi Sad, a brief scuffle broke out among SNS supporters, lasting a few seconds before police intervened. A significant number of riot police and gendarmes were deployed at key intersections to maintain order.

Participants displayed flags of Veternik, Novi Sad, and Serbia, and attempted to march through central locations. Some students from the University of Novi Sad also assembled to observe and document the SNS column but were prevented from direct contact by a cordon of police vehicles.

At the end of the march in Futog, stands with food and refreshments were provided for attendees.

Rallies in Other Cities

In Kragujevac, SNS supporters gathered outside the local community center in Erdeč. The march lasted about 45 minutes, with participants carrying Serbian flags, balloons, and banners reading:

  • “Citizens of Kragujevac Against Blockades”
  • “I Want to Move Freely”
  • “We Won’t Give Up Serbia”

The attendees also chanted slogans such as: “Aco Srbine!” and “We Won’t Give Up Vučić.” Some humorous banners included: “Why Vienna when I have Erdeč?” and “Better a summer in Lefkada than 7 days of blockades.”

In Zemun, Prime Minister Đuro Macut joined citizens for a peaceful march along Magistarski Trg to Zemun Quay. High-ranking officials including Justice Minister Nenad Vujić, Arno Gujon, Petar Petković, and actor Lazar Ristovski were also present.

SNS supporters also gathered in Kruševac, Subotica, and Kraljevo, demonstrating against blockades and emphasizing the need for peace, stability, and daily life continuity.

Political Messaging

SNS used social media to reinforce its stance, posting images of supporters alongside party officials with the message:

“Blockaders cannot destroy our ideas, program, spirit, and faith in the people.”

The rallies are part of a larger campaign planned across 100 cities and municipalities, signaling strong party mobilization in response to nationwide civic protests.
