Pro-Russian hackers known on Telegram by the pseudonym “NoName057” have attacked the websites of Milan’s airports, Malpensa and Linate, causing issues for passengers attempting to check flight arrivals and departures.
The hackers also targeted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ website.
The attack was announced by the cybercriminals themselves, who, in their message listing various websites that are currently inaccessible or non-functional, stated: “Italian Russophobes are receiving a well-deserved cyber response.”
In addition to the Malpensa and Linate airports and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, other groups were also targeted.
The National Cybercrime Center for the protection of critical infrastructures of the Postal Police has already begun working to support the affected targets and to conduct the necessary investigations.
