Prime Minister Albin Kurti will be on a working visit to North Macedonia tomorrow, just a few days after the incident at Skopje Airport involving President Vjosa Osmani, who was using the same airport for a private trip.
Kosovo Government spokesperson Përparim Kryeziu told KosovaPress that during this visit, which was agreed upon on July 20th, Prime Minister Kurti will be accompanied by ministers from the government cabinet.
“While there, Kurti will have a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of North Macedonia (Hristian Mickoski), during which they will discuss bilateral relations, regional cooperation, and infrastructure projects of interest to both states,” Kryeziu said.
It is worth recalling that the incident at Skopje Airport with the President of Kosovo occurred after airport security requested Vjosa Osmani to surrender her personal phone.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo has sent an official protest note to Skopje, requesting clarifications regarding this incident, while Macedonian authorities have announced that the police and prosecution will investigate the case.
