The protest organized by the civic initiative “Not a Cent More”, held today at Skanderbeg Square in Pristina, has come to an end. The protest was in opposition to the decision to increase electricity prices.
Once again, citizens expressed their dissatisfaction with the Energy Regulatory Office’s (ZRRE) decision to raise electricity rates. With banners and chants, they demanded the reversal of this decision.
The organizers did not rule out the possibility of escalating actions if institutions fail to respond. “If our demands are not taken seriously, the protests will intensify,” they announced.
This was the third consecutive protest held by the initiative, which continues to gain more support from citizens affected by the rising cost of living.
