The Chairman of the Kosovo Liberation Army War Veterans’ Organization (OVL-UÇK), Hysni Gucati, has called for justice for the former leaders of the KLA.
Addressing protesters in Skopje, Gucati said that the gathering aims to demonstrate to Europe that the KLA waged a just war.
“Today, we have gathered here to show our international partners and the international community in North Macedonia that the KLA did not commit crimes. The KLA was a liberation army that defended its people and its citizens. We are here to raise our voices, as we do in every protest, uniting Albanians just as Skanderbeg did in the most difficult times. This court was established as a result of actions by an individual who, in 2011, introduced a resolution in the European Parliament and the Council of Europe, claiming that the KLA committed crimes. But we are here to demonstrate that the truth is different,” Gucati said.
