The protest by public and private transport workers in the Municipality of Prishtina, due to unpaid salaries, continues today in a different form.

Unlike Monday, when workers protested in front of the Municipality and Government buildings after suspending all lines, today the buses of “Trafiku Urban” will be placed near the Prishtina Municipality building.

Ilmi Gashi from the “Trafiku Urban” Union stated that today’s protest will involve buses.

“We will parade the buses through the city and stop them near the Municipality building, so that we have the opportunity to avoid disrupting the movement of citizens or other vehicles,” Gashi said in an interview with KTV.

According to the “Trafiku Urban” Union, workers of this company have not received salaries for two months, while their debt to suppliers has exceeded 1.6 million euros.

Due to delays in decision-making by municipal assemblies, the budgets of Prishtina, Gjilan, and Zubin-Potok have not been included in Kosovo’s 2025 national budget. This was not addressed even after municipal approval, as Kosovo has functioned without an Assembly for almost the entire year due to the political deadlock following the national elections in February.
