Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his gratitude to the leaders of foreign countries who attended the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow, despite facing threats, blackmail, and various obstacles. He stated that these foreign officials are true leaders in both character and conviction, and that they demonstrated remarkable courage.
“Moscow appreciates their bravery and understands the pressure they faced for making that decision,” Putin emphasized during his address to the media, as reported by RTRS.
Putin specifically mentioned the visits of Milorad Dodik (Republika Srpska), Aleksandar Vučić (Serbia), and Robert Fico (Slovakia), saying they displayed exceptional courage in the face of intense pressure and demands not to attend the events in Moscow.
He described the broad participation of foreign leaders in the celebrations as an inspiring sign of unity around the values of shared victory.
