Russian President Vladimir Putin convened a meeting of officials to discuss the situation in the border regions.
In the meeting, he stated that “the primary task of the Ministry of Defense is to push and expel the enemy from our territory.”
Putin also addressed the situation in the Russian regions bordering Ukraine, according to BBC.
He told them: “The losses have dramatically increased for the Ukrainian armed forces, especially among the more capable units that the enemy has deployed to our border.”
“The enemy will certainly receive an appropriate response, and there is no doubt that we will achieve all our objectives.”
