The Election Complaints and Appeals Panel (PZAP) has certified Srpska Lista for the upcoming December 28 parliamentary elections, overturning the earlier decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC).
The decision was issued today.
According to the ruling, PZAP approved the appeal filed by Srpska Lista and annulled the CEC decision of 2 December 2025, which had previously blocked the party’s certification.
“The appeal of the political entity Srpska Lista, based in North Mitrovica, is APPROVED. The decision of the Central Election Commission is MODIFIED, and the recommendation of the Office for Certification and Financial Control is ACCEPTED. Srpska Lista is hereby CERTIFIED to participate in the Early Elections for the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo scheduled for 28 December 2025,” the decision states.
The CEC had refused to certify Srpska Lista, with the two Vetëvendosje members, Sami Kurteshi and Alban Krasniqi, voting against, while members from other political parties abstained.
The initial decision drew sharp criticism from the international community, which described the move as politicization of the CEC, warning that election bodies must remain independent and free from party influence to maintain the integrity of the process.
