A ceasefire agreement and the release of hostages are closer to being achieved, as Qatar has delivered a final draft to both Israel and Hamas to end the ongoing war in Gaza.
A source familiar with the negotiations informed Reuters that progress was made in Doha after midnight during talks between Israel’s negotiating team, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s Middle East envoy, and the Prime Minister of Qatar.
The conflict in Gaza, which has caused significant unrest in the Middle East, started with a destructive attack by Hamas-led terrorists on Israel on October 7, 2023.
Meanwhile, the return of Donald Trump as President-elect of the United States, following his victory in the November 2024 elections against Kamala Harris, is seen as an opportunity to resolve conflicts between the two nations.
