Qatar has ordered officials from Iran’s embassy to leave the country, escalating tensions amid ongoing regional developments.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it had declared members of the Iranian embassy’s military and security staff—as well as other personnel—persona non grata.

The ministry confirmed that Iranian personnel have been given 24 hours to depart the country.

According to the statement, the decision follows what Qatar described as continued hostile actions by Iran directed toward the Gulf state.

This move marks a significant diplomatic escalation and reflects the growing strain in relations as tensions across the region continue to rise.
