Kosovo’s Acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, along with Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Kreshnik Ahmeti, met with QUINT ambassadors and the EU Office Head in Kosovo.

The central topic of the meeting was Kosovo’s membership process in the Council of Europe. Kurti emphasized that Kosovo meets the legal and institutional criteria for membership, according to the Parliamentary Assembly and the Council’s rapporteur on Kosovo’s membership. He noted that further advancement in this process would demonstrate Kosovo’s commitment to democratic reforms and European norms.

Kurti stressed the importance of Kosovo’s citizens having access to the European Court of Human Rights, a key mechanism that would strengthen individual rights and accountability.
