LDK MP Anton Quni has stated that he expects the 23rd Assembly session scheduled for tomorrow to follow the same patterns as previous ones, continuing the stalemate in constituting Kosovo’s Assembly following the February 9 elections.
In an interview with Klan Kosova, Quni said he does not anticipate any progress, especially in the absence of new developments or agreements among the political parties.
“We’re not expecting anything. As long as there is nothing new no breakthroughs in interparty relations, no new talks or preliminary agreements I believe tomorrow will be just another repetition of the previous sessions,” Quni stated.
He added that the proposal for Speaker of the Assembly is likely to fail again, thus blocking the constitution of the new legislature.
Quni also made clear LDK’s stance on government formation:
“We do not prefer a coalition with Vetëvendosje (VV),” he emphasized.
This reflects the ongoing political deadlock, with no signs of compromise among major parties, and deepening the constitutional and governance crisis in Kosovo.
