The Central Election Commission (CEC) has published the preliminary results of the October 12 local elections. The head of the CEC, Kreshnik Radoniqi, presented the real-time data for each municipality based on the Commission’s online platform, noting that the counting process in Municipal Counting Centers will begin on Monday and that the entire process will be completed within this week.
Presenting the results for Prishtina, Radoniqi said that with 83.58% of votes counted, Përparim Rama (LDK) is leading with 33.76%, followed closely by Hajrulla Çeku (Vetëvendosje) with 32.90%.
He also announced that in the Municipality of South Mitrovica, Arian Tahiri and Faton Peci from Vetëvendosje will advance to the second-round runoff.
“The counting in Municipal Counting Centers will begin tomorrow, and we are optimistic that the entire counting process will be finalized within this week,” Radoniqi stated.
He further added that the real-time online results platform used for election monitoring was supported by the United Kingdom.
