Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has welcomed her Albanian counterpart, Edi Rama, at Villa Doria Pamphili in Rome. Rama has traveled to the Italian capital accompanied by ten ministers to attend the first joint meeting between the two governments.
Through a post on Facebook, Prime Minister Rama announced that during this meeting, 16 new cooperation agreements will be signed, although he did not specify the exact sectors. According to Euronews Albania, the agreements are expected to cover areas such as healthcare, energy, environment, security, education, and innovation.
Agenda:
- At 11:40 a.m., a meeting between Prime Ministers Edi Rama and Giorgia Meloni is scheduled.
- At 12:30 p.m., the joint session between the two government delegations will begin.
- Around 2:00 p.m., several agreements and memorandums of understanding between Italy and Albania will be signed, covering fields such as defense and security, energy, migration, civil protection, healthcare, environment, economic and infrastructural development.
