Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has called for justice for the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) currently held in pre-trial detention by the Special Court, sharing a photo from a massive protest in The Hague that drew thousands to a city park.

On Facebook, Rama wrote:

“ Justice, only justice, nothing more than justice, and nothing else but justice, for Kosovo and its freedom fighters 🇽🇰🇦🇱.”

Rama Supports the Protest

The Albanian leader publicly backed the demonstration even before it began, posting a video showing vehicles flying national flags of Albania and the KLA in The Hague.

Rama emphasized the symbolic importance of freedom:

“FREEDOM HAS A NAME .”

Referring to former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi as “Commander,” Rama added:

“With all my heart and mind, I am there today too, Commander 🇦🇱❤️🇽🇰 FREEDOM FOR THE LIBERATORS .”

The Hague Demonstration

The protest in the Dutch city reflects ongoing public support for KLA members facing charges at the Special Court. It underscores the deep connection between Kosovo’s history of liberation and the broader Albanian community.
