The Mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, stated that he discussed how the capital is contributing to the fight against diabetes through urban transformation initiatives.
The discussion took place during a joint meeting with Sweden’s Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonas Westerlund, and diabetes researcher Yang De Marinis.
Rama emphasized that the talks also focused on innovative research and products capable of predicting diabetes up to 20 years in advance.
“We also discussed research and innovative products that enable the prediction of diabetes up to 20 years earlier. These discussions strengthen our vision for a healthier Capital, oriented toward diabetes prevention,” Rama wrote on Facebook.
The meeting highlights Pristina’s broader efforts to integrate public health priorities into urban planning and preventive health strategies.
