A verbal exchange took place between the prime ministers of Albania and Montenegro during a joint panel held at Chatham House in London, one of the world’s most prestigious international policy institutes.
During the discussion, which focused on key regional and political issues, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama made a few ironic remarks that appeared to cause mild tension with his Montenegrin counterpart, Milojko Spajić.
Rama jokingly commented on Montenegro’s small size, in a lighthearted response to Spajić’s disagreement with some of his statements. The exchange briefly created a slightly tense atmosphere, drawing the attention of attendees.
Continuing his humor, Rama also quipped about Montenegro’s history and national identity, saying that Montenegrins are older than Greeks and Serbs — a remark that mixed irony and humor, typical of Rama’s speaking style.
