Antonio Costa arrived in Albania ahead of the European Political Community summit, scheduled to take place tomorrow in Tirana.
Costa was received by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who expressed his pleasure at the visit of the Council of Europe President, describing him as a close friend of Albania.
“The President of the Council of Europe is once again in Tirana, and this is certainly a special pleasure for us. Personally, it is also a pleasure to meet again with the president, who is a dear and very wise friend.
Dear Antonio, thank you very much. We are here today because the President has visited the entire region and has stopped in Tirana also because he will be present tomorrow at the European Political Community summit,” said the Prime Minister.
Rama further explained the core topics discussed in the meeting with Costa, including the goal of completing EU accession negotiations by 2027.
