The winner of the local elections in Drenas, Ramiz Lladrovci, has responded to reports suggesting efforts to remove him from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), calling them “futile and pointless.”
In a lengthy post on Facebook, Lladrovci emphasized that he does not view politics as “stale bread” or something taken “from someone else’s table,” reaffirming his commitment to the public and national interest.
“I have had opinions even when it was forbidden, I have acted even when it was punishable… I do not see politics as stale bread or as bread taken from a foreign table,” Lladrovci wrote.
He further stated that analysts and individuals trying to push him out of PDK ‘are wasting their time,’ and that “the black ink they throw against me will remain their own mark.”
Lladrovci also expressed support for PDK’s candidates in the ongoing local elections, wishing success to Shaqa, Arianit, Sokoli, Ferit, Sabedin, and Shaban.
“The victory of PDK’s candidates will be a victory for our heroes of war and peace, for the founders of our state. If PDK stops, Kosovo stops,” he declared.
The Drenas mayor stressed that the country needs more unity, tolerance, and respect for its past and future, adding that “the mission of certain individuals to politically undermine me will fail,” just as, according to him, “the spineless maneuvers of October 12 failed.”
In conclusion, Lladrovci asserted that his lifelong contribution to Kosovo’s liberation and state-building cannot be diminished by anyone, reaffirming that he remains ready for new political battles ahead.
