Today marks the decisive moment for the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) as its leadership gathers to finalize who will officially represent the party in the upcoming local elections in Drenas this October.

The internal competition between Ramiz Lladrovci and Petrit Hajdari has intensified in recent weeks, and now the party’s leadership will vote to determine who will carry the official PDK endorsement in this key municipality.

According to sources from Nacionale, the meeting of the PDK Presidency is already underway.

Ramiz Lladrovci, the incumbent mayor of Drenas, has taken a firm stance, publicly declaring that no other candidate from PDK should run in the municipality apart from himself.

“There’s no one alive who can push me out of the PDK,” is a phrase Lladrovci has repeated multiple times in various television appearances, underlining his determination to remain the sole candidate of the party in Drenas.

The final decision is expected to shape not only the local race in Drenas but also internal dynamics within one of Kosovo’s most influential political parties.
