The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, has paid tribute to the freedom fighters who fell in August 1998, sacrificing their lives for the liberation of Kosovo.

In a post on Facebook, Haradinaj honored the memory of the heroes Bekim Berisha – Abeja, Bedri Shala, Sokol Sejfijaj, Elton Zherka, Përmet Vula, and Jusuf Kelmendi, as well as those who gave their lives on August 9 and 10: Agim Bajrami, Xheladin Kurtaj, Besnik Begunca, Din Alijaj, Asllan Rexhepaj, and Muhamet Zenunaj.

“Unmatched warriors, brave patriots, who placed the freedom of the occupied Homeland above their own lives. Eternal glory to their lives and deeds! Thank you for your service to the Homeland!” wrote Haradinaj.

This commemoration stands as a reminder of the sacrifice and heroism of Kosovo’s fighters who stood firm during one of the most challenging periods in the country’s history.
