At the Palace of Congresses in Tirana, memorials are being held in honor of former Albanian Prime Minister Fatos Nano, who passed away two days ago at the age of 73 after a serious illness.
Among the attendees were Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Kosovo’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who were rarely seen exchanging a handshake, highlighting the significance of the occasion.
The event also drew prominent figures from Albanian politics, paying tribute to Nano’s legacy.
In honor of the former prime minister, the Albanian government declared November 2, 2025, a national day of mourning.
