The President of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, has reacted to the release of three Israeli hostages by Hamas.
In a message on the platform X, she emphasized that this is a moment “that fills you with hope,” and also welcomed the ceasefire agreement.
“Romi Gonen, Emily Damari, and Doron Steinbrecher are free. And others will be as well. Let this be the beginning of a new chapter for Israel and the Palestinian people… The ceasefire must be respected,” she wrote in a message on X.
