President Joe Biden reacted after the release of three Israeli hostages by Hamas.
In a statement from the White House, Biden expressed that today’s ceasefire agreement was the same one he proposed in May and which was approved by the UN.
“The Middle East has been fundamentally transformed. After so much pain, death, and loss of life, today the guns in Gaza have quieted,” Biden said.
He also added that Hamas has been weakened by Israel and that Hezbollah’s leadership has been destroyed.
“It is now up to the next administration to implement this agreement,” Biden further stated.
