A religious building in Graçanica was the target of a serious theft, according to reliable sources close to the ongoing investigation.
The incident occurred on January 8, 2026, around 18:20, in the village of Livadje – Graçanica, where unknown individuals broke into the Sveti Gligorije Church.
The complainant, identified only as N.M., reported observing signs of forced entry through a church window. At this stage, it is unclear whether any items were stolen, as the church priest was not present and is expected to provide a statement upon returning from travel.
Police units, investigators, and forensic teams arrived at the scene, conducted an inspection, and documented traces of forced entry by unidentified individuals.
By order of the supervising prosecutor, the case has been classified as a “serious theft”, and investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend the suspects.
