The Mayor of Zvečan, Ilir Peci, announced that he has decided to remove a photograph of Ratko Mlladić, which had been displayed on one of the walls of public buildings in Zvečan.
Peci stated that the decision aims to eliminate any symbols of violence and hatred from public spaces and to ensure that Zvečan remains a place of peace and harmony for all residents, regardless of nationality or ethnicity.
“This decision sends a clear and strong message: glorification of war crimes and incitement of hatred have no place in our city. Zvečan is a city rich in diversity, and we value every individual, regardless of their nationality or origin,” Mayor Peci wrote on Facebook.
