Rifat Jashari met with Albulena Haxhiu, the newly appointed Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, ahead of the solemn session marking the Independence Day of Kosovo.
According to Haxhiu, she welcomed Jashari to her office before the ceremonial parliamentary session. She described the meeting as warm, emotional, and deeply inspiring, emphasizing the symbolic importance of the visit.
In a video shared on Facebook, Haxhiu revealed the message Jashari delivered as she begins her new leadership role.
“May you come out with honor,” Jashari told her — a traditional blessing that carries strong cultural and moral significance.
Haxhiu said the message holds special weight, particularly given Jashari’s family legacy and sacrifice for Kosovo’s freedom and independence. She noted that such words represent a powerful reminder of responsibility and public service, adding that they further motivate her to perform her duties with honesty, dedication, and dignity.
The meeting took place as part of broader commemorative activities organized to celebrate Kosovo’s independence anniversary.
