Serbs have announced roadblocks at border crossings starting today at 18:00. However, the situation is currently calm, and vehicles continue to circulate.
At the Merdar border crossing, one of the points linking Kosovo with Serbia, the situation remains quiet. There is very little vehicle traffic at the border entry and exit points. No protesters have been seen so far, despite Serbian citizens’ announcements of border blockages. Similarly, at the Jarinje border crossing, there is still vehicle movement at the moment, although the flow of traffic is lighter.
However, Serbs who have announced the border blockade from 18:00 have stated that they will not allow entry or exit with Republic of Kosovo documents.
As of 18:00, no police forces are visible except for a patrol by KFOR and EULEX.
