Fiorentina has announced the passing of its president, Rocco Commisso, at the age of 76 after a prolonged period of medical treatment.
The Italian-American businessman took over the club in 2019 after purchasing it from the Della Valle family and left a significant mark during his tenure.
Commisso was instrumental in modernizing the club, including the construction of the Viola Park training center. Under his leadership, Fiorentina reached a Coppa Italia final and two UEFA Conference League finals, highlighting the club’s competitive resurgence.
Fiorentina also praised Commisso’s strong bond with fans and his humanitarian contributions, emphasizing that his legacy will remain unforgettable in the club’s history.
