The Ambassador of Germany in Kosovo, Jorn Rohde, has said that his country’s position regarding EU measures towards Kosovo is that they should be removed.
Rohde said that the measures were discussed two weeks ago, but according to him, there were some unilateral actions by the Government of Kosovo, for which he said they were criticized by the EU and the USA.
“We have an atmosphere that these measures can be lifted, and hopefully they can be lifted soon. When I talk about unilateral actions, I’m not talking about conversations with neighbors, but with us, with the friends of Kosovo, because we suffer the consequences of unilateral actions”, said Rohde in Klan Kosova.
Furthermore, he also spoke about the terrorist attack in Banjska and the criminal Millan Radoicic, who is still at large in Serbia, which he said is unacceptable.
“Last year we had a terrible attack in Banjska. Terrorists have also attacked the perpetrators of the crime, such as Millan Radoicic, who is at liberty and has not been officially charged. He continues to be free and this is not acceptable.”
“You can be sure that Germany is constantly waiting for Serbia to act. But we are asking both sides for constructive behavior. I have to say that after the Brussels and Ohrid Agreement, we have not seen any progress”, said Rohde.
