German Bundestag member Michael Roth has written about the ongoing protests in Serbia.
“All eyes on Serbia! Brave students and committed democrats are challenging President Vučić. In countries aspiring to join the EU, we must not support authoritarian regimes, but stand firmly with the civil society that is demonstrating for freedom and democracy,” he wrote on X.
The large student protest in Belgrade has highlighted growing dissatisfaction among citizens. As the students say, the protests have raised many political questions about the responsibility of the relevant institutions, especially the current government.
