Employees of Radio Television of Kosovo (RTK) have announced a one-hour strike tomorrow due to the non-allocation of the budget and continued non-payment of salaries for 700 staff members.

The RTK Workers’ Union has sent official letters to high-level European figures, including European Parliament President Roberta Metsola and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, informing them of the critical financial situation at RTK. With December approaching, employees remain unpaid.

The union stressed that the failure to pay salaries constitutes a violation of workers’ rights and human rights, calling for immediate intervention by the responsible institutions.

To express their protest, RTK employees will hold the one-hour strike tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. in the RTK courtyard, demanding regular payments and fairness. The union emphasized its readiness to use all legal and union measures to ensure salary payments and sustainable public media operations.

This marks the third protest by RTK employees this month over delayed payments.
