Secretary of State Marco Rubio held discussions yesterday with his European counterparts, focusing on efforts to bring an end to the war in Ukraine.
Rubio met with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiha, and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas.
Sibiha expressed Ukraine’s gratitude to Rubio for his efforts and to Trump for his peaceful leadership.
“I reiterated Ukraine’s position that security guarantees must be concrete, legally binding, and effective. They must be multidimensional, encompassing military, diplomatic, legal, and other levels.
We all share the belief that the Ukrainian armed forces are the foundation of any such guarantees, so their maximal strengthening is our top priority,” Sibiha wrote in a post on X.
