U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has called a report by five European allies, which holds Russia responsible for the death of Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny using a toxic substance derived from poisonous frogs, “concerning.”
During his visit to Slovakia on Sunday, Rubio emphasized that Washington has no reason to question the report.
“We are certainly aware of the report. It is a concerning report. We are aware of the Navalny case, and certainly… we have no reason to doubt it. We are not challenging it. But it was their report, and they issued it,” Rubio said during a press conference with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico in Bratislava.
