Russia launched a massive aerial assault on Ukraine last night, deploying 90 drones and two ballistic missiles, according to Ukraine’s Air Force.
The northeastern region of Kharkiv was particularly targeted in the attack, with dozens of people injured, including two 16-year-old teenagers, said the regional governor Oleh Syniehubov.
In the village of Vasyliv Khutir, eight people were injured in the strikes, though authorities have not provided further details on their condition.
In the regional capital Kharkiv, Shahed drones struck an electric bus depot, causing extensive material damage, according to the city’s mayor Ihor Terekhov.
“Today, Kharkiv suffered another attack. The enemy launched eight Shahed-type drones at one of the depots where our electric buses were being repaired and stored,” Terekhov stated via Telegram.
As a result of the explosions, one electric bus was completely destroyed, 18 others were damaged, and about 30 residential buildings suffered structural damage.
The attacks also hit the Odesa and Donetsk regions, continuing the intense pressure from Russian forces on Ukrainian territory in the eastern and southern zones.
