Ukraine has accused Russia of launching more than 100 drones overnight, in defiance of an ultimatum from Ukraine’s Western allies demanding a full ceasefire.

“Starting at 11:00 PM last night, the enemy launched 108 Shahed and other types of drones,” Ukraine’s Air Force reported on Monday morning.

At least 55 of those drones were shot down, according to their statement.

This escalation comes despite a coordinated ultimatum from Ukraine, the United States, and European allies, who had jointly demanded that Moscow accept a “complete and unconditional” 30-day ceasefire starting today.

If Russia fails to comply, the coalition has vowed to impose a new wave of severe sanctions.

The continued drone attacks are likely to increase international pressure on the Kremlin and further strain efforts for de-escalation amid the prolonged war.
