Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov has warned that Russia must be prepared for “any development, including a possible military conflict with NATO in Europe within the next decade.”
Speaking at a Ministry of Defense meeting, Belousov highlighted that Russian armed forces have been operating in the context of an “intensive conflict with the West” this year, referring to the ongoing war in Ukraine, which he said continues to escalate.
Belousov also claimed that Russia has made significant gains in the war with Ukraine, stating, “This year, Russian forces liberated nearly 4,500 square kilometers of enemy-occupied territory.”
