Russia has reiterated its strong criticism of Serbia regarding the alleged transfer of weapons to Ukraine, issuing a new warning through Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova.
During a conference in Moscow, Zakharova stated that “Russia is convinced that Serbia understands the risks of its military-industrial complex products falling into Kyiv’s hands,” emphasizing that official Belgrade is “expected to take effective measures to avoid this scenario.”
Russia has also taken into consideration promises made by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who has assured that Serbia will not allow locally produced ammunition to end up in the hands of Ukrainian forces.
However, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service has claimed that, despite Belgrade’s officially declared position of neutrality, Serbian defense factories continue to supply ammunition to Kyiv. This ongoing discrepancy highlights deepening tensions between Russia and Serbia over the conflict.
