Russia will soon attack Ukraine again from the north, said the chief of Ukraine’s military intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, in an interview published on July 13.
Speaking to NV newspaper, Budanov did not specify whether he was referring to an offensive in the Sumy or Chernihiv regions so as not to “provoke panic,” but insisted that indications were already present.
“If I start answering this question (where the attack will be), we will provoke panic,” he said. “Let’s say there are issues and they tend to worsen.”
“It’s not a disaster, but it’s impossible not to see the problems. I told someone from the Western press: I won’t have much good news this year, unfortunately,” said Budanov.
