A channel on the Telegram platform with thousands of subscribers is creating small but dangerous anti-war messages that are appearing on the streets of Russia and at what appear to be Russian military positions in Ukraine.

Several bullets forming the words “No to war”, placed on a military bag.

This is one of several images said to have been taken by members of the Russian military that were published on the “Wake Up Russia” Telegram channel earlier this year.

A delivery worker and the words “You ordered peace”.

“Wake Up Russia” describes itself as “community of conscious Russian citizens who have made their choice and are trying to ‘wake up’ others.

An imitation of a postage stamp, with an image of soldiers and the text: “Yesterday idiot, today murderer, tomorrow corpse”.

Posting stickers like this in public in Russia comes at the risk of severe punishment under wartime laws. /REL
