NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has arrived in Tirana to participate in the European Political Community Summit.
Rutte was welcomed by Albania’s acting Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, who stated that the visit is a clear testament to Albania’s growing role in NATO.
“The visit of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, as part of the European Political Community Summit in Tirana, is a clear demonstration of Albania’s enhanced role in the North Atlantic Alliance and our commitment to peace, security, and Euro-Atlantic cooperation,” Vengu wrote.
The European Political Community Summit will be held tomorrow in Tirana, with Kosovo represented by the country’s president, Vjosa Osmani, who is set to arrive in the Albanian capital tonight.
