NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that Russian President Vladimir Putin made a mistake by sending a low-level delegation to the Russia-Ukraine peace talks scheduled for Friday.
“Putin made a mistake by sending a low-level delegation, while it is very positive that the Ukrainians came to the table and sent a delegation ready to negotiate peace,” Rutte emphasized ahead of the Political Community Summit in Tirana.
He also expressed satisfaction with the role the US is playing in this process and the efforts of President Donald Trump to help unblock the situation.
